n20 and rev limits

i am doing a bunch of research on n20, because i am saving up for my zex kit.

im wondering about something. the rev limiter cutz off the fuel at a certain point and bounces us back down. okay, but what if the n20 is still going? instant kablooie?

can someone get into some detail on this for me? and any other general info on the performance of the zex kit on the pro.

mine is a 3rd gen 1.8.

oh yeah

i also wanted to find out about octane. i know what it is and everything, but what octane would i REALLY need with just a 50 shot on a basically stock motor.

Rule of N2O divide you peak HP by 2 and you have your highest shot recomended. A 50 shot will be fine on the stock engine I ran a 60 shot when I was NA now its a 40 shot. For any N2O shot you have to run premium gas.

Another thought

I was always under the impression that the fuel cooled the injector and without fuel you run the chance of melting the injector. I know I have read this somewhere.

safe n2o

I 've been running n20 50 shot in a 1.5 L, which is a pretty small displacement engine. I would highly reccomend a timing retard and as Craig said, always a premium gas (minimum 92 octane)

i am installing a MSD timing retard in my car together and MSD 6A that retards 2-4 degrees only when the n20 kicks in. That could save your engine right there.
