MAF for BPT?

I was reading on the http://members.attcanada.ca/~dragon64/junk.html
site, he mentions the RX-7 MAF sensor as mod if you modify the airflow requirements of the "B" engines.
I have been searching this forum for info on pieces I will be needing to build up my BPT motor. I have not seen anyone mention that the second gen RX-7 turbo MAF is required for the conversion, or even an option.

I am planning on running the BPT at stock levels for now, Is this needed for the stock boost of 7-8psi?

I'm not sure if it is necessary, but the RX-7 air flow meter is equal to the air meters used on the GTX and GTR motors thus installing the RX-7 meter would allow for better performance and more accurate tuning of the engine (air/fuel mixture). I am in the process of a GTX install on my 91 LX and I already have an RX-7 air flow meter on my car. It was one of the first mods I did when I bought the car and I'm glad I did because I noticed a difference.

The RX-7 Airflow meter will not work with the GTX ecu. The electronics inside each are different than the standard GTX VAF. You will need a BP-26 VAF to function with the BP-26 ECU. If you are using the stock computer with an RX-7 VAF that will work but you still need fuel and timing control for boost.

I have 1 ECU/Harness/VAF left for a GTX motor, $500.
