HiBoost Direct Bolt on turbo kit

Has anyone seen or have the new or fairly new Hiboost direct bolt-on turbo kit and ecu package? Are there any real dyno numbers from it out there beside on company web-site. And finally 4 grand seems a little high for that kit but is it really worth it the company claims up to a 100 horse increase at the wheels. Sounds a little fishy to me. Any imput would be great! Thanx, The Deaf man

Damn!! 240 that is a fast wagon I guess that might just be worth tha fo' G's it takes to make it happen looks like that might be the next mod for the ole' grocery getter!
Hey Linuxracr, How much were the JIC's I can get them through my shop for 1,700 is that a decent deal? Where is a good place to get sway bars and such?

LinuxRacr December-20th-2003 08:26 AM

I don't have the JIC Coilovers, I have the Exaust system.

bolt on....

it bolts directly up to the cat....

its is an extremely great kit....well engineered and the best value for the dollar.

What kind of numbers are you putting out with the kit?

DeafMP5 January-1st-2004 11:10 AM

Also how easy or difficult is the installation?

Sorry for the delay....

It is running rich...and there is room for a bit more HP. This was run at 8spi with 94 octane (i ran it this way for saftey, but I usually run with 91 octane). I basically have a stock exhaust system with no other engine mods. The 4th run was after I leaned it out a bit.

As for installation.....it took me a good few days. I took my time...really took my time as this was the first major install I have ever done.

The kit and its components are designed to use all the factory components. As an example...it bolts right up to your stock exhaust system...no need to have an exhaust shop involved or welding.

With the right tools (you don't need anything fancy) you can do everything. The only thing I was worried about was wiring up the Haltech to the stock ECU...but it was straight forward (just take your time)

If you can install it yourself....do it...it makes it easier to understand how a turbo system works and it is easier to trouble shoot any possible mistakes.

Wow I guess that I have no more further questions. Damn that is more than I ever expected I don't think that the install would be too difficult 4 me I am a tech for Subaru. But that is good to know that it is designed to bolt on to the factory parts. What did you pay for the kit I have seen prices in the 3-4 grand range in USD but I was wondering if there was a better price out there or a good place to get it cheaper.
