Keith,my question wasnt about fuel enrichment...what I meant was that when you run boost,the ecu doesnt like it and throws a check engine light...what did you do to stop this...so far the only thing I've heard of was check valves

are check valves similare to a Missing Link for honda's? what about a 3bar GM sensor?

actually a lot of people use check valves on Honda's when going turbo...it's actually a fish tank check valve...a one way valve that allows the sensor to blow off the pressure so it only senses either equalized pressure or vacuum,without sucking outside air back into you engine...this fools the senso into thinking there is no boost,that way the fuel delivery system runs as normal,since mazda ecu's tend to cut fuel under boost which would be disastrous in a turbo engine

I'm not a Honda tech so I can't comment on that - but these aren't Honda engines.

The Protegé uses a hot-wire mass air flow sensor that is inline with the air flow. Any bleeder that would prevent this from seeing boost would also prevent any boost from getting to the engine. Installing a 3-bar GM MAP sensor would not actually do anything, as there is no MAP sensor in the car.

We're addressing the fuel issue. Our Protegé5 got some prototype electronics on Friday and it seems to be working in initial tests. The stock ECU has an enormous range of authority for pulling fuel - it's quite impressive.

As for the check engine light, there haven't been any problems there yet.

I keep forgetting the differences between my 1.6 and the 2.0....the 1.6L has a MAP sensor....biknman had to use check valves so i guess i'll ask him where they need to be installed....Kieth you are a pretty knowledgeable though,have any Idea how to fool the stock ecu into being "blind to the boost" on my 1.6L without using check valves???????

Nor have I and I am running 80 PSI of fuel at 8 PSI of boost
