1.6 Turbo Update
Heres a few pics of the turbo pipe from the throttle body down to the outlet of the intercooler. Also a few pics of the turbo we use on this kit.
The rest of the pipes will be finished up this week and done in stainless steel. This pipe is just a jig. http://www.info1credit.com/bb/16pipe1.jpg http://www.info1credit.com/bb/16pipe2.jpg http://www.info1credit.com/bb/16pipe3.jpg http://www.info1credit.com/bb/16pipe4.jpg http://www.info1credit.com/bb/t3-1.jpg http://www.info1credit.com/bb/t3-2.jpg Enjoy! |

Well if you don't power brake, and you learn to let off just a bit on shifts then it will be fine.
Oh and all the engine bay comments, its not my car, lol. Its a full show car and is totally stripped right now getting an interior built. |
Since turbo's flow with exhaust flow you can't really "shut" them off. You can pull boost out to the set wastegate limit but to hit no boost you have to let off. Its not too hard, just takes getting used to.

Look for prices around the 2000 figure until I can get some words on costs. Might be more might be less depending on the what we use and if it has the downpipe.
Kit includes the Turbo w/ Manifold, oil pan pipe bung, turbo lines, intercooler and piping. BOV is optional along with boost controller and engine management. |
Either the e-manage setup for around $800 or the haltech for $1300. Either way I will need a test car to tune and see what we can work with. Otherwise someone might have to pay for some airfare and dyno time :)

Check valves are un-necessary when moving to a standalone. A FPR will not be necessary either unless your injectors need to be pushed beyond their optimum limits. As always with a standalone I would recommend larger injectors to take advantage of your fueling capacity.
|
With a haltech you'll be losing the MAF and using a 2-3 bar MAP sensor. No more restrictions.
