Wings west roof spoiler
 

Is this wing even worth buying and if so how in the hell are you supposed to install it???????

prolly just styleing, and attacthes with double sided tape, only way unless u drill into ur glass..

Im looking into getting the same window spoiler. The double sided tape sux ass so I wouldn't go with that. Someone told me to use some super glue stuff that places like Wal-Mart or Target may carry. I'll try to find more info about it and get back with you all.

Anyone know what glue we have to buy from Wal-Mart to make the spoiler bond to the window?

not sure of the glue, but when u do find it , try scuffin up the surface on the glass exactly where the glue and wing meet.. so u can get a good gripping surface..

Anyone get this wing and figure out how to install it? I decided against buying it because I couldn't find the glue needed (either online or from Wal-Mart like someone suggested) to mount the spoiler to the glass. I would definately consider buying it at a later time, but not right now if no one is able to install it properly and have no reviews on it.

why not use 3M double sided tape that should hold it on very well. since the real 3M shit is strong as hell

Yeah, probably did. I was talking with someone who that actually happened to. Don't think double-sided tape is strong enough, but I don't know how else it would install on the car. I don't want to use some kind of super-bonding glue because if I ever want to take it off, I wouldn't be able to. But I don't see any other way of putting it on. But it does look so sweet though..... I think I would invest in one to just try and see if I could get it to work.

Does it by anychance use the same type of mounting as the stock spoiler? using the stud and bolt method of holding it on?? becuase if so that f**ker shouldnt go anywhere

Im sure it wouldn't if it did install that way, but it doesn't. The spoiler actually mounts to the upper part of the rear window. I don't think it would be a good thing to drill into the window.

then that would mean u will have like 3 or 4 holes in the top of ur hatch. If this mounts to the window

Well, Im not EXACTLY sure how the spoiler mounts, but thats what Im guessing. I haven't seen any pictures that show how it is done, so Im kinda figuring the only way to install it would be double-sided tape. The picture off the WW website (if its still up) is the only one I have seen. If anyone else knows of a way that this could be installed, by all means let everyone here know. It looks like a nice mod, but still not sure if the install is worth the 140.00 and aggravation.
