I remember the good old days when you could have 5% all around (except the front windshield). I had a car like that, and it was fun. Granted it wasn't safe in the least at night since it was like driving in a tunnel, it there were benefits.

I went 45% all the way around on the last car ( the installer screwed up), and on my new one, I'll be doing around 30% all around. I've never got a ticket for tinting, but then again, I don't drive like a dick or give them reason to look for trouble. When in doubt, roll down the windows and turn on the interior lights.

I live in WI and had a 20 percent tint all the way around on my car. I was driving home at 11:30 at night, going 3 miles over the speed limit, the meatpacker gave me a ticket for my front lisence plate (rq'd for WI) and my tint. He pulled me over because of my license plate, then put a tint tester on my windows... took me 4 hours just to remove the tint... then I traded in the car for a new one before I took off all the adhesive...

Well guys at least your allowed to tint where you live.
I live on the island of Curacao, there was a law passed that you are not allowed to "stick" anything on your windshield....absolutely nothing. Not even stickers, but they dont bother you allot with that.

I have found that, when pulled over, cops will not give you any trouble about tint if you rolled down all windows, and if at night, turned on all internal lights. Be sure to turn off the car, keys on dash, hands on wheel. If you stereo can be on while key is out, They'll only go looking for problems if you are one, take your ticket and be respectful. You might just get out of it should you make the cop feel comfortable.Thank you ....
