Wheelskins steering wheel cover

Just got through installing a two-tone Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover on my gf's '99. It looks great, feels and smells nice too. The colors (red and gray) match her car very well, and the seams between the colors line up nicely with her spokes. Got it on eBay fairly reasonably, and it only took 3 days for me to get it. If anyone is looking for a nice cheap upgrade I can recommend this. I am going to also get her a leather shift boot once she decides what color she can live with. My digital camera is down right now, I will take a picture and post it tomorrow.

Wow, usually I'm not a fan but that one looks nice.
You did a good install on it, too.

Thanks. The quality on this was first-rate. The instructions said installation would take an hour, I think I got it done a little faster. The upper part shifted just a little so the seam on the left is not quite the same as the one on the right, but I didn't think it was worth redoing it. Once it is warmer I may be able to move it a little. Main thing is my gf loves it. She was complaining about her wheel not being as thick as the one on my '03, this has bulked it up just enough.

HOw did that go on. Did you have to sow it yourself?

Yes, you place it around the wheel and then sew it up (kinda like connect the dots). A needle and thread are included in the kit, the thread appeared to have wax of some sort on it so it pulled through the leather easily.

I'd love to have one done in yellow & black...but I have a feeling it wouldn't match the rest of my interior :(

Here's the place I bought it from: http://stores.ebay.com/Auto-Upgrade
They have a good selection of colors, and you can request them to send you free color swatches to make sure it will match. Good luck!
