What's the best stuff to use to clean interior?
 

I just wanted to know what's the best stuff to clean the interior of your car? I heard that Armor All isn't really good for it.

I use mothers preserves protectant.

i use black magic.,.. sooooooo shiny.. i used 1L on my car so far lol everything is squeaky/greesy.

that why I have some prescription Oakley X metals in the glove compartment...those work wonders.:cool:

I think we should start a thread were everyone is able to post a pic of what they look like.I will try to start one later when I can pry my dig. camera away from my sisters.But I currently use these Oakley's when I drive:

You can say that I am a huge Oakley Fan...And everyone should be because my prescriptions come from Texas. And they definately get a lot of sun down there.:cool:

I use Armor All "Cleaner ", NOT "Protectant ".

This works like a charm and does NOT leave the surface greasy like regular Armor All. It really works great on pedal and door sills - plastic areas that really get dirt ground into them.

I don't use Tuff Stuff 'cause I've had bad luck with it. I used to clean my sneakers with it, and the sun would fade the color and the few times I've scrubbed something on my dash with Tuff Stuff it seems to have faded slightly. I have to be careful with these caribbean rays. Sometimes it gets so hot that it can even straighten a dent in your car! (It happened to me)

I stay away from the armor all products that you would slather over your vinyl due to dryness of the product after applying. Usually when I have applied the armor all before the chemical would dry out and feel really wierd. It was shiny yes...but it looked like I smeared my counsel with egg whites...then it started to peel and crack as the month goes by. I have currently found that the higher brand products (ie. mothers, meguires, etc) usually have the same luster, but it would fade by month end, usually reminding you to rewipe your car. Amor All did not fade, it was still shiny, but very dry.

Oh nuts...I ve been using the Armor All protectant but it seem to work great. Since the last post I switched to 3M Complete.

Apparantly it guaranteed and work great for dust repellant.:)

Try out 303 Aerospace Protectant. Great stuff. It has UV inhibitors and it has the "good" silicone in it and it is water based. It leaves a matte finish (more like factory) so you don't get brutal glare. The stuff also works great on tires (although I prefer Meguiar's Endurance Tire gel) and any exterior plastic parts.

Apparently, the old version of Armor-All had the "bad" type of silicone in it. Basically, the old armor-all caused problems if you used it for a long time, but then stopped. However, I've heard they've switched to using the good kind of silicone. That said, I still won't touch the stuff.

Products using the "good" silicone will usually appear milky in appearance.
