Washing car in Winter

I washed my car last week when it was very cold outside, I noticed almost immediately little ice bloches all over the car. The water is heated but the car was so cold that it froze instantly.
My questions is this: will spraying hot water on a freezing cold car damage the paint, or seperate it, because of the extreme temperature change?

it should'nt, but that another reason why i dont wash my car too often in the winter, its pointless.

What u talking about no point, the salt on the streets are bad for the paint, and dont u shammy your car when u wash it? even in summer u should shammy it cuz the car looks dumb as shit with 6000 waterspots on it, jsut invest 10 bucks on a shammy, and spend 15 minutes drying yer car and yer fine..

Get a California Wiper Blade or equivalent and brush the water right off. I wouldn't spray hot water on it since it would be toomuch trouble, just leave it in yor garage or a warmer area and just let it melt.

Actualy its not hard to keep yer car clean in winter, i do, if the weather stays cold, the roads stay dry, its when u have the warm day and the snow melts and the roads get wet and slushy is when it gets dirty, but on normal winter days its pretty much like summer with a little bit of sand...

Peace

No point cleaning ur car in the winter. if ur worried just take a hose and spray ur wheel wells good to get the salt off the car.. Even when its dry theres still a half inch of dirt on 85 percent of the roads here ...Jon 93 lx

There is a point to cleaning your car in the winter. One, it gets the salt off of it. and two, it looks good. ;)

Around here it will look good if its stayed parked , but here it will look just as dirty and have just as much salt 20 miles later ur better off just spraying ur wheel wells once a week if ur that scared of road salt . ive never seen a protege rust very bad so i wouldnt worry about it ...Jon 93 lx

i dont give a crap about road salt, ill be lucky to find a puddle to splash through. and i dont care if it makes the car look good its a freaking maine winter your cars covered in snow most of the time anyways. i mean yeah it stops rust, and crap but who cares. ill drive it through the touch free wash maybe once and a while. but im not gonna go crazy.
