Touch Up paint should only be used when regular buffing and waxing will not hide deep scratches.

A search of the forum will come up with individual who have used the paint.

Search: touch up paint

I haven't had good luck with touch up paint on scratches, it's very hard to get it in such a thin line, and not on the surrounding surface. I only use it for rock chips where the area to be filled is easier to nail without gooping it all over. The key is to only put a very small amount on the brush, and dab any excess off the brush on the side of the bottle before you apply it.

Also, to avoid getting "blobs" of paint standing over the rest of the surface, you might want to try http://www.langka.com

I got some and it does work quite well to smooth the touch up paint even with the rest of the paint.

someone on this forum gave me a relly good tip once...

.....use a tooth-pick. Its small, hard and pointy and gets into the cracks reall nice (does that sound dirty?);)

aight thanx a lot. imma try the toothpick method. but some more questions. i just waxed the pro like 3 days ago. do i have to make sure all the wax is off and all be4 i put on the touch up paint? also, after I put on the touch up paint, what exactly do I do, how long does it take to dry? than after it's dried, do i wash the car again and polish n wax? thanks.

That stuff dries pretty quickly. After I use it and make sure it is dry, I use a little Meguiar's ScratchX or a very gentle rubbing compound with light pressure to clean up the area and any excess touch up. Then put a couple coats of wax.

Don't use the brush that comes w/ the stuff...it's too huge and you'll get it everywhere.

Toothpick and end of a paper match work well. I bought a very fine paintbrush and use that and have had fairly good results.

Everything you'll ever want or need to know about using touch up paint for chips and scratches - and THEN some:
