stock wires? sony deck?

my g/f brother gave me a Rockford Fosgate 2ch amp and i have speakers that im going to install 6x8 front pioneers and 6x9 sony rears in my 02' sedan... im just wondering if the stock wires would be good enough for them...

im planning on running the amp into 2ohms at 40W rms about 75 peak... will the stock wires be good enough for this... its not for competition or anything but am i going to notice any distortion due to the wire being too thin... i think stock wires are like 22-24ga.... not totally sure.. havent taken the speakers out yet...

anyone have opinions about this sony deck... cdx-m730

yeah i know its a sony.. but the only reason i want this deck is because i have a changer that i have in my probe that im moving over..

unless i come along another deck cheaper in price w/ more features..

I ask the exact same question before I started my install...and 1st informed me that as long as I was sticking around 35 to 40 watts RMS that the stock speaker wires were fine....and they are working quite well. Saved a LOT of time and trouble.

I would Highly suggest only running the amp to the front speakers. Mixing different speakers on one amp channel is a bad idea and should always be avoided. Also the rear will be very loud without the amp since they are so high up.

If your getting to to run your changer, you may want to make sure it will work first.

Features per price is a terrible way to judge a headunit. Especialy when tose features are half assed, exagerated, the units quality is terrible, and the features have nothing to do with sound quality.

Just to warn you, you may need to do a little cutting of the front doors to get 6x8's to fit since the opening is for a 5x7.

as for running different speakers per channel... im probably not going to do that anyway.. im going to screw balance control and just adjust the gain to balance front/rear fade..

i already emailed sony to verify if my changer would work.. and they said it would... it has a unilink connector on it already.... though it wont work for mp3 decks.. i think thats what they said.. or was it just that the mp3 function wont work with the changer... as in multiple mp3 cds..

actually he probably won't....as the frames are nearly the same....most 6 X 8's come with the holes drilled for the stock 5 X 7 speaker mounting holes.....they should just drop in..

the thing to be most concerned with on the front doors is the back spacing of the speakers...can only get a speaker with 2 1/2 inches of backspacing in there without using spacers.

Its not balance you'll loose its fader and the speakers notbeing the same will recieve different power levels contantly. Unlee you plan on running the front on one channel and the rears on the other if this is the case.

Your Hopeless and I'm not helping you anymore.
