stock head unit dimensions
 

looking into doing some semi creative transplant using a stock mazda radio as the donor.

The post: Speaker Sizes, Wiring Harnesses, Dash Kits, H/U Removal Tools, Stock H/U Pinout helped out quite a bit.

What are the dimesions W*H*D of the unit. Need to make sure it will fit in the hole first.

Are there any websites that show the difference between the different models of headunits, (idealy one with a greenish backlight)

Give Crutchfield.com a try. They have a huge selection of on-line products and info.

looked around on crutchfield couldn't find anything on the dimensions of anything on there, have you seem any figures on the site or was I looking in the wrong spots?

I guess I should have been more specific in my orginal post but i'm looking for an OEM radio to swap into an older miata (91). Want to stay away from aftermarket so sticky fingers don't even bother looking at the car.
