Which speaker wire to which spade terminal?
I am installing speakers and have two wires: one a solid color (Example green) and the other the same solid color with a white stripe (Example: green with white stripe). The speaker has two spade terminals: one large and the other small. Which wire goes to which terminal?

Which wire goes to which terminal? many aftermarket speakers mark the POS (+) terminal with a RED DOT....or sometimes they actually have a + stamped somewhere near it.....if they are new and you have the paperwork that came in the box...that would be the next place to check..... HOWEVER....if you are replacing ALL the speakers....hook them all up the same way....they will be fine. |

Nuke is right on- just don't get any out of phase!! |
The solid wire should be positive (+) and the striped negative (-). If wired incorrectly, they will play, but not sound right, also known as "out of phase."

the big spade is always positive and the small is negative
