Sound Suggestions?

Just looking for suggestions on what to use. I was going to go all Eclipse with a PPI amp, but my friend told me it would be a waste of money since I don't go to competitions. So I looked up some head units we have at my work and came up with these four:

Panasonic CQ-DF801u: $429.99(my price is $287.22)
Kenwood KDC-MP919 : $449.99($337.77)
Kenwood KDC-MP819 : $379.99($268.89)
Kenwood KDC-MP619 : $299.99($212.22)

I thinking about getting the Kenwood 919 over the Panasonic cuz it looks and feels better. The buttons on the Panasonic feel like they are going to break. I also like the motorized faceplate of the 919, among other things. Sadly, there's no in-dash Kenwood changer like the Blaupunkt, so I'll be down to one disc...but I don't really like the way the Mazda 6 disc one functions anyway.

As for the rest, I was looking at all the Kenwood stuff on there site and thought about all Kenwood stuff...but you never hear of someone pushing all Kenwood in their car. I'm also looking at JL10w3 or the Boston Acoustics PRO 10" subs. Just looking for all around suggestions of good brands so I don't get stuff that sounds like Sony or Clarion. Money isn't much of an issue, all the higher price stuff means is more weeks of waiting. But I need to find the line between whats good for me, and what's too much. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
