Some pictures of my installation (part 1)
Hi guys (, or are there any girls ?)
I just started my install and now I have some bass in my car. Here are some pictures Mazda 323 F Car Audio There is more to come, when I go on with the front speakers and their amp. |
Sehr gut!
(my german stinks though, so im not gonna try anymore) Great install! I like how you did that sub, you cant even tell its there. |
Very cool!!!

Very well done! the only suggestions i have is to use a foam tape door seal and build it up around the spare circle, so that when the lid is closed it seals tightly.

Hi
Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure if sealing the sub from the rest of the volume would be good. If I seal it, there will be less volume than now and I found out that it sounds better when taking off the spare wheel. I think there is to less space when the spare wheel is in. I'm still thinking of stuffing the spare wheel. |
well, yes it would be good, beacause any leaks will change the performance. I assumed you had calculated the air space with the spare tire in there. Not familiar with Axton subs, but i imagine it needs more than what you have with the spare in there. So thats probably why it sounds better with it out.
So in that case, i suggest sealing it as best you can around the perimiter of the opening. |
Hi
Yes thats what I did, but I didn't want to go without my spare. The sealing is already done with a small adhesive sealing tape which is normally used for mounting speakers in enclosures. It even sounds a little bit better now. |
