Side View Mirror Removal

Here's my problem... I'm getting my ugly black mirrors painted this week and I can save a few dollars if I take them off. My main problem now is the wiring harness connected to the mirrors, which are power operated. I was wondering if anybody has removed the mirrors or would know how to go about getting to the connection of the harness. I began removing screws from the door panel, 6 total, but still wasn't able to get it off. If anybody has any ideas I'd greatly appreciate them. Thanks in advance.

Can't help you with the removal of the mirrors, sorry bout that. But how much is it gonna cost you? I've been thinking of getting that done for a while now.

The guy said it would run between 40 and 45 for both mirrors, which I think is a fair deal.

ok from what i understand, i have taken them off before and i did not have to remove the door panel all u do is pop the lil corner black piece (above the door panel and its triangular in shape) inside the car where the mirror meets .... then u remove the 3 screws and disconnect the power harness and thats it, it comes off .... hope im right and i hope this helped lol it was a while since i took mine off

Hmm....yeah it does thanks. It just seems that the harness is in a wierd place. O well, I'll experiment a little. Thanks again.

same as MIA said, and yeah the plug is in a little bit of a awkward spot. Just pull the door panel a bit, or the screw on the panel to get some flexability.. and you should be A OK
