Shaving Side bar things?

Should i shave the black bars on the side of my car? Has anyone else done this?

If you really want to go for it. There's quite a few people around who have done this. Its pretty simple, just get a heat gun, heat it up and peel off using something thats not going to scratch the paint.

i dont think it will look good. so maybe not

Kincaid Feb 14, 2003 10:51 PM

I did it. I thought it looked pretty damn good. No holes, just use GooGone to take the glue off or something.

It does look good when you take them off, but also keep in mind why they are there. Well, why are they there you ask? It's to keep your doors from getting dinged and dented from other's doors while they open them.........right next to your car.......and knowingly shove their door into yours. So it is really up to you; take 'em off and look good, or keep 'em on and keep your doors looking good.

Yep that's the reasom. I never parked in a lot spaced that small. It never happened to me. If you're always going to Wal-Mart you're probably screwed.

That is by far the tightest P5 I have ever seen.

Nice work.
