Security system & winter

Okay... a silver P5 is coming! They have my deposit... the financing was cheap at 2.9% here in Canada... Calgary... the deal was okay...not great...but what the heck! I've been shopping for 3 months and need a solid reliable...sporty car and the P5 came out on top.

I may have asked this before elsewhere...but obviously the dealer is trying to upsell me on the added rust protection etc... in western canada is this worth it?

Should I opt for the factory security system or go aftermarket?

Im also thinking of taking getting an extra set of steel rims 15"
and four Michelin Arctic Alpins... yes... no?

with snow clogged streets... that happens now and then...(our climate varies and winter in the city is quite mild) Im concerned more about clearance. Thoughts?

Winter wheels

What you need , especially in Calgary where streets become ice rinks because of the absence of salt and calcium is the following :

Nokian Hakkapeliita 1 185/65R14 with 14" rims 5 hole
with ecosystem studs

Apparently these rims are especially designed for Protege 5 and GTs because of the 5 hole pattern.
The studs will help in the city and in the mountains without worry!
