Rewire foglights w/highbeams?

Has anybody figured out how to rewire your fog lights to stay on with the high beams?

I have mine rewired to come on with the parking lights and the low beams but they go out with the highbeams.

you probably have the fog lights hooked directly to your lights, because I had that same problem when I first hooked up my indiglos... but the way I fixed it was......

I pulled the dash part off and just spliced the wire into the headlight power..........

Another way (and this is the way I hooked up my foglights) is to just say screw hookin it up to headlights and just hook it up to a switch, its pretty simple, and it only took about 5 minutes.. (i spent more time hiding the wires than i did hookin it up)

but most cars i see at night with foglights turn off when the brights are on, i think that looks cool that way, but thats just my opinion, hope that helps out.. write again if you need electrical help...

The reason why "most" cars (if not all with a few exceptions) turn off their fogs when their high's come on is because that's the legal way.

Legally, you're only allowed to have 2 sets of lights on at a time. So, the two setups are, low's and fog's, and low's and high's.

As for a solution, you could probably set up a relay connecting your high's to your fog's. I really am not an expert in this area so I can't even begin to give you the diagram nor the pin numbers. But, if you search it up, I'm sure the relay is pretty simple.

I work nights and travel mountain roads going to work at night.
I have about a 45 minite drive with deer, javelina and coyotes.

More light is better. I have already hit a deer on my ninja and let me say "CRASHN' SUCKS".

I did find a way to short out the switch and get all 6 lights to stay on but I don't know what that will do to the electrical system.

So its back to fogs on with parking or lows.

All 6 lights on - looks awesome.

Bill
