Replacing Stock ES spoiler with Mp3 spoiler....
Hey all,
Ive got a stock 2002 ES spoiler on my car, and have been wanting to replace it with a Mp3 replica Spoiler. Has anyone done this before? do the holes match up identicially or are they going to have be filled and have new holes drilled? Thanks! |
anyone?

you know i wanted to do this too.......but i was afraid i would get the dreaded "check the FAQ" before you ask.......so I don't know either........but thanks for asking for me.....hehehhe....you know i guess we should just do a search first and check the FAQ.....tell you what i'll do that and i'll let you know if i find anything....

I've been wondering the same thing. I used know a place that had them for a pretty good price, but i don't have it bookmarked anymore. I guess i should have thought of that before posting. I'll do some research and see if i can find it again.

A LOT of ppl have done this. Trust me. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find something. If not, I'll do one for you.:)

Are you talking about this spoiler?

every day, ebay has a replica on sale. Check them out.

But that still doesnt answer my question. Ive done numerous searches, and no luck, nothing about replacing a stock spoiler with a Mp3 one and the holes lining up. It it just an assumption? or can anyone verify this?

YES??
Yesterday I test drove the MSP and picked up the MSP accessories brochure. All I can say is sweeeeeeet. Anyways, on the inside of the MSP brochure, Mazda has an ES with the MSP spoiler, rims, side sills, rear bumper, and exhust on it. So, my conclution from the picture would say that yes the MSP spoiler can easily replace the ES spolier. However, I'll ask around at the dealership and see if anyone knows for sure.

wow, this thread is a perfect example of what happens when people DON'T read the FAQ or search... almost a month later everyone is still running around going "where can I find one?"

Originally posted by Wingman21 I want to replace my OEM spoiler too with the MP3 one ! So has anyone ever replaced it and not just bought one when they didnt have one  !!! If so, I just wanna know, like Freeskier981, if the holes will fit ??? Thanks |

The holes are set further in on the MSP and the MP3. You would have to fill and paint the holes left by the ES spoiler. Sorry." I'm Very confused, I guess, someone should order the damn thing, try to fit it before they paint it, and see for themselves and then let everyone else know! |

fromw hat i have heard. and seen the holes are the same you jsut dont have the middle hole drilled. if you want a direct fit go to WW and get the MP3 look alike . it is the same but without the middle pedestal. arul.
do a search for "sonabi" on ebay for a user name. that is who i got mine through and he was an excellent seller. arul |
I just measured the holes on an ES and a Mazdaspeed and they are both the same. Both cars have the spoiler holes drilled in the same location so it looks like all you would have to do is drill holes for the center support and bolt it on.

By the way... do you think the Replica of the MP3 wing that ProCarParts.com is selling is a good one ? They sell it for 139$ ! Thats pretty cheap I think ... Thanks |
There is only one hole needing to be drilled in the center.
