Removing HU

Hi all, I'm a doing a first time DIY install here with the help of a friend and I'm just trying to figure out how to remove the HU.. is there a diagram somewhere on how to remove the front faceplate? Subs, amp and splits are wired now just gotta figure out how to wack in the HU... Probably just need to do some more mucking around though but any help would be great

Don't use coathangers to take the radio out. The real tools have tangs on the end to hold the snaps down. I've seen a few people attempt this and they've jammed the snaps into the dash. The only way to remove it was to cut them off with an airsaw, and could possibly damage the bezel in the process. Just run down to Pepboys, they sell the Ford radio removal tools. They're about $4.99 a set and you'll need 2 sets. It's a lot safer to do it this way, and you don't run the risk of damaging the car or the radio incase you need to put it back in at a later time.

You can always return them when you're done. They come in a resealable package.
