Recaro seats

I have a 2000 protege lx 1.6L. I was wondering if anyone has installed recaro sport seats in there car. The one that I was looking at was recaro sport seat. The black vinyl and black suede. So i was wondering if anyone has tried to install these, or know if they even will fit. I was also thinking of taking out the back seat and installing two bucket seats and a centerarm rest that continues from the front. Sort of like a RX-8. This isnt a definite thing just an idea i got in my head. But I really would like the recaro's up front.

As per body kits go i was looking at the mazdaspeed side skirts and rear bumber skirt. They say there for a 2002 or up but from what I have looked at the rear bumper and sides look the same on a 2000 as they on a 2002. Anyone know if they will fit for sure?

Any help would be appreciated.

Matt

okay.. First, I am also looking at getting those Recaros someday... oce I have money and know that you have to do a costom bracket job. I think you can buy the brackets from them and all you need to do is unscrew the OEM ones out and screw the new ones in their place, or close to it.

As for the MP#/MSP side and rear skirts, I have a 2000 ES and they fit perfectly on my car without modification.

There's a P5 here locally that is sponsored by Kicker and he has racing type seats front and back...it can be done!

The side and rear skirts fit. As for the racing seats, make sure you use the aftermarket seat brackets instead of stock ones, they should come with the seats. If you use the stock brackets, the racing seats will be too high and that bad if your tall. If you have some fabracation skill you can modify the brackets so that the racing seats recline like the stock seats. I did that with my racing seat in my old civic hatchback.

I have a set of Recaros in my P5. I just ordered replacement brackets with the seats and they went right in. They do sit lower than the stock seat, which helped me since i'm 6 4 but it eliminated any foot room under the front seats for those in back. Other then that i love em to death, most comfortable things ever and they look awsome.
