Rear turn signal bulb size

My local Pep Boys is having a sale on Sylvania Silverstar turn signal bulbs. I bought 1157 for the front and 1156 for the rear per their guide. However when I went to install the rears they didn't fit. The stock bulbs have two protrusions which are slightly offset (sort of a V shape), while the 1156 bulb protrusions are directly opposite each other. All my owner's and shop manual say about the bulbs is 21 watt. Anyone know the correct bulb number for these?

Went and looked at Pep Boys the other day, it appears that the 7507 bulb is an direct fit. I say appears because I only looked at it and didn't buy any (they are the correct wattage, and the locating pins look to be correct). Sylvania does not have any of the Silverstars in that size (at least at that store, I will check their Website) and my stock ones are still good. I don't know why everyone's fitment guide is showing the 1156 as the replacement, but if you don't want to grind off any tabs then try the 7507s.

Thanks. I was at PepBoys the other day and bought a set of 7507s, am going to try them and if they work then order some Silverstars in the right size (same as what you are talking about, silver that light up amber). None of my local stores carry them in that type, I guess because those are used in European cars and not too many people rice them!

I have the Silverstars in my front turn signals and I really like them. Now all I have to do is change the amber running lights in front (have to replace the reflector with clear) and I will be all set.
