Radio/Cd player and speaker recommendations
 

I am getting my P5 on March 16th, and i want to order some speakers and Radio/cd player in advance :D, i am not rich like most of you hahahahahahahahaha :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: So where is a good deal on some speakers for a P5 and a radio with remote :bt: *Impresses the ladies* :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I already have a Amp and Bazooka Tube ready, Might order and Sony Xplode 500 Watt Amp or something, use my old amp for my speakers and the Sony Xplode for the Bazooka Tube i have :bt:

Who says you need lots of money to have a nice sounding system? Here's what I've got (prices in canadian)
Panasonic CQ-DF401U $260
Panasonic 5.25's and 6.5's $200
2 JL 10W0's and enclosure $185
Profile and Alpine amps $175 (although I am getting rid of the profile in exchange for another alpine)
Wires and stuff ~140
Total is under $1000, of course I'm not finished yet, but I'm hoping to stay under 1500.

Buy used and save. For example, a new 10W0 retails for $180 here. I got perfect 2000 models for $50 each. Cool eh? The only things I bought new were the head unit and the panasonic speakers. Check you local hock shops and test the equipment before you buy.

I would wait until you actually get your car :)
I would strongly recommend Panasonic head units for their bang-for-the-buck. Pioneer is OK but you pay too much for features you don't need (DFS, 3-band EQ....)

As for speakers, there are a lot of good brands out there for good price, whatever fits your budget and what you think sounds best.

Still working on my system.. here is what i got so far:
1) 5.25'' Kenwood 2way 110watts speakers in front (KFC-1368S)
2) Kewood 10'' Sub 500watts Max (KFCW-2053) in a sealed enclosed box
3) Kenwood Excelon Amp 600watts Peak(KAC-X201T)
4) Sony x-plod 4000x Headunit

im still working on upgrading my headunit to possible Kenwood...im goin for Alpine or JVC thou. And i need to get another set of 5.25 for rear.

This is a good basic setup. alot better than stock. but still its not the best out there.

Im selling a 10'' Kicker Solo Baric (round NOT square) model # S10D. Rare, not many people still have em. its in good cond. 4ohm 450watts. Yet again Kicker Under rates their products. i was pushing 600x1 peak to it and still needed more to hit harder!!
