Racing seats
I really don't know what to go with!
I like Sparco's Milanos and Tourinos. But MOMO's Street Racer GT would match my shift knob and e-brake. And Recaro's SRD Limited Editions black with red stitch is reeeeaaally nice, and they're regular all reds look cool. Corbeau's CR1 and A4 look good too. Anyone help on which would look the best, feel the best, and be the best functionally (as in lightest weight and keeping me planted)? Any responses would be greeeeeeeeat. Or if you know of any I haven't looked at yet, lemme know. OH yeah, I have a Red Pro5. |
Hey I just got my corbeau CR1 seats in the other day I got some pics and I'll get them up ASAP. If you didn;t know corbeau makes seat brakets for the proteges so the seat bolts in with no mods

see, there are some people on this board who do resond to me.
it seems like everytime i post, i get no responses. :( |
Haha, in that case I'll respond.
I looked at Sparco ones at first but they seemed a little plastic, and the fabric looked as it was going to wear out fast. The MOMO's the same. I like Recaro's however, they look much more durable and fabric on them were more grippy. But do you want to sit in a racing bucket all day long? I'm assuming your red Pro5 is your daily driver. Well I wouldn't since the pressure exerted on the body are really painful in the seats don't fit your body well. Racing seats generally have very little pading. They are good for a backroad thrash once in a while, but in the long term I would rather get more comfortable seats from sport cars. I personally like the ones in the WRX, RSX, and the 3rd gen RX-7. Try ebay or junkyards. They will give you all the lateral support you will ever need plus much more comfort. |
i had never thought of that. i'll look into it, thanx.

From what I've heard, Sparco and Recaro seats, like the Milano and Torino models are very comfortable.
