Does any one know hot to insulate 2nd gen. Pro DX a bit more from the stock? I drive 3k a month, and some of the highways are old, and the tires are mad loud, not even mentioning wind noise. Any suggestion, please. Thanks.

Use Dynamat or something of that sort to make it quiter......

If I were to install Dynomat Hoodliner, for example. Would I have to take my hood off, or would I be able to apply it on with out taking it off? Thanks.

you SHOULD be able to manage without removing it....

to get serious with it do the trunk too...and the insides of the doors....and remove the carpet and line the floorboard and then reinstall the carpet.....and if it still needs more...remove the headliner and line the roof and then have the headliner reinstalled....

NOW...if its still too noisey? I recommend you get some earplugs.

as Sir Nuke said........you'll probably be able to do it without taking the hood off, but even if you have to it is very easy to take it off and put it back on.............

be carefull of how much shit you apply though, because the more you put, the more weight you add to the car, and the more weight the slower your ride will be.............

I think you'll be happy if you do the trunk, main floor, and doors...
I did just the main floor recently......did not notice much of a difference, but I haven't taken my car to the highway yet....
I think it's there that it will make a difference...........
my trunk and doors should be one of my next projects.......

do a search on the forum and you'll find a lot of info concerning that subject.........

Thanks guys. I do already have earplugs. I work at a powerplant form time to time. Though I am going to get the hood done first. I mean the car is LOUD. Now, even though I have no music system in my trunk, should do that as well? I will also do doors, and the floor later on.

to isolate YOU and the passanger compartment from the sound...the primary areas that will give you the biggest decrease in road noise is going to be the areas that actually CONTACT the passanger compartment.....thus...the first things I would do are the doors and the floor.....then the hood....

most likely you wouldn't need to do the trunk....

Does any one if it possible to find these dampening sheets or material in Home Depot? Because I have only seen it on line!

I have thought about that too, but I can't trust a material that hasn't been made specially for cars..............that's just me though.......

I dunno but if got a undercoating treatment for winter protection would that dampen road sound?

Mxyzptlk, YES it would help....not as much as soundmatting...but yes...a good undercoating job DOES help dampen road noise.
