Pro5 clear front markers

Did the search. Seems that the ones from Celica would fit with minor mod. Couldn't find which year Celica, though. The current one has yellow bumper markers....

Which years is the Celica part from? Thanks.

Me <--- :tool: .... Found the info having looked some more. Anyways, it's 2000-2005 Celica. Contrary to what other people said, I didn't have to remove any bumper material. What I did was I removed a piece of the elevated rib in the middle of the lens itself, and mounted them upside down. I didn't bother with any grommets, since the OEM lenses didn't have any there either. I used a combination of 2 washers an a nut on each of the two bolts on the new lens. The larger washer was 1.5" outside diameter. The bolts are M5, if I remember correctly. There is a small crack under the length, which you can't normally see from the top. It's about 1.5-2 fingernails wide.

As other people said, it's a major PITA on the passenger side due to the washer tank's protruding bits.

Those look hot!

I was under the assumption that the whole light illuminates. Is that because it's the clear markers or are the amber/white ones the same way? Are there white ones by the way?

I'm ot a fan of the clear ones. You can get the aftermarket "frosted" ones. I personally think those look alot better! Unfortunately, the whole lense won't light up....so you are stuck w/just the light in the middle. I noticed that lastnight when I took a pic of the smoked bumper lights.

Hey Phil, the frosted ones would be the white ones I'm talkin' about?

Anarchistchiken June-21st-2005 08:25 AM

Yeah, I thikn you're talking about the same thing.

JDM-P5 June-21st-2005 08:29 AM

quit dissin'

:)

Yes, I know the APC frosted ones look better (less ricey), BUT these I could get locally for $40 Canadian, the APC ones would be like $100 US after all the shipping. One must think whether it's worth it. Besides, the look is still more harmonious than the factory amber patches. I'd replace the bulbs with clear, but I don't want to be stopped and get a ticket for wrong colour bulbs.
