power fuse placement, back seat install

I have a 1st generation protege. Where should i place the power fuse under the hood. how do you install amps on the back seat. Do you need a certain type of screws? need help, installing system on Tuesday.

underhood fuse: within 18" of the battery, always! as for placement, just drill a couple holes into the side of the panel near the shock tower (don't forget to use rust check!)

to install amps in the back seat I would first place a sheet of wood (like 5/8" fibreboard or plywood) over the back of the seats and mount the amps onto that, to prevent ground loops.

for wood just use #6 wood screws and for the metal, sheetmetal screws of course :)

actually the back seats of the 1st gen are a hard plastic. Good coarse (thick threaded) screws will hold them fine. even under racing condidtions mine have held for months now.

also, as said under hood fuse within 18" of the battery, be sure to know whats behind the metal your screwing it to, sucks to drill into a wire loom.
