First off, how did you buy a head unit from Best Buy for only $10? I didn't know there was such a thing. Was it used? Secondly, I can't believe that they sold it to you without a harness (I am assuming you are talking about the harness to the Pioneer, not the Metra wire harness that connects your head unit to the Mazda factory plug). You can check EBay for one.

My dad's camera had a small plastic piece to the back that had broken off. A local camera shop told him it would run him $100 for the "door" and $25 for labor! He found one on EBay for $25 and instructions (free) on how to attach it. Bastards at the camera shop are just after ripping people off instead of helping them. I can maybe understand the labor part, but to charge 4 times the amount of a little plastic handle is ridiculous.

Good luck any way!

most of the damn returns at best buy never run that damn cheap, and even so, at that cheap, either the face plate is missing, a cd is jammed in the damn thing, or the face plate won't come off. just head back, return that fuckin harness, and ask them for the pioneer wiring harness for a protege/323, it's simple as that... it plugs straight in, no wiring, no fusing and no fuss! but, if you want to be difficult, i'm sorry, i can't help you there :(
peace
