P5 - AT shift knob?
 

Hi,

First, I want to say that I'm new here and I'm very happy to have found this discussion board! :)

Now, here is my problem. I have an automatic transmission 2002 Mazda Protege 5. I want to change the shift knob. I went to a car's part store and the guy told me that since my button to change gear is on the side, only the shift knobs that have a button on the side will work for me. I was upset because I wanted those where the button to change gear is on top of the shift knob. My friend told me those might work also, so I'm really confused right now. Can anyone help me?

And also, can anyone provide me a site that have shift knobs that work with the P5? Because i'm a newbie to cars and I really have no ideas which one work for me or not.

I know you can use the ones with the button on top. there is a member on here who has installed a momo, and I have seen quite a few who have installed the Razo ones with the OD button.
