P5 custom enclosures -updated-

Sorry to everyone who has been waiting for info on these. Two guys out of my five man team are on vacation at work, so I had to give up most of my days off.
Anyhow, the prototype is pretty much finished. I just have to carpet it now, and I will be posting pics as soon as that's done. It weighs 26 pounds, and it's internal volume is--ready?--1.27 cubic feet!!! that's 36 liters for those of you who speak metric. The prototype is for a single 12", so the 10" version will be slightly smaller, probably about 1 cube even. As far as mounting depth, to give an example, I'm using an Alpine typeR 12 which has a 7 inch mounting depth and I still have about three inches behind it.
There are some things that did not exactly follow my plan, the first of which is that I had originally said that the boxes were going to come with grills, but for the pricing to stay at $175.00 plus shipping for single 10" and $200.00 plus shipping for 12", I will not be able to include grills. The ones that I wanted to use are somewhat expensive and hard to come by, and when I started a thread on the importance of grills, the few people who said that they absolutely needed one were already using a grill on their current woofer anyhow, which could be reused. The other thing is flush mounting the woofer. My feeling is that the most common grill used in a car for woofers is a waffle grill. If I make the woofer flush mounted, a waffle grill will not clamp on properly. There are ways to do it, but it doesn't work as it was intended to. The same is true for Kicker grills, Obcon grills, Momo grills, Rockford grills and so forth. The only grill that will fit properly on a flush mounted woofer is a two piece metal mesh grill. I will still be offering flush mounting for a $10.00 charge for anyone who wants it.
As far as shipping, I am leaning towards dividing the U.S. up into four zones and charging a set shipping rate depending on which zone you live in. Canada, Hawaii, and anywhere overseas will also have their own zones. The reason for this is that I still am going to have to purchase materials to pack these enclosures in for shipping. I just think it'd be easier to say, for example,"if you live in Central time zone, your shipping charge is "X" with all packing materials included."
The coolest news is that there will be THREE models available--

Single 10"
Single 12"
DUAL 10"!!!
That's right, dual 10" subs in the side wall of your P5. The dual 10" will stick out slightly more than the single twelve, but will still not take up very much room. Price for the dual 10" will be $250.00 plus shipping.
Orders can be placed by sending an e-mail to jgandcg@yahoo.com
Please put "custom box order" In the subject line and specify in the body the model, options and payment method you prefer, (I accept money orders and paypal) and include your shipping address. If you are interested (I know everyone wants to see pics first) be ready to order soon as each one of these enclosures is hand made and do take some time. I will be building them in the order that they are ordered and paid for, so if you do not act quickly, you may end up waiting until I am caught up. Please respond with any questions or comments. Pics will be up soon.

Oh, I also wanted to add that I am willing to accomidate special requests (square woofers, three 8" woofers, ect). Special labor rates will apply depending on how complex the difference from the original is.

I may just be down with this as well pending photos.

Pictures of mine

I have some picturs on my page of the maxxbling woofer with an eDesigns sub for those that are interested. I'll try and get some better quality ones up later with more descriptions and such, but for those that want to see it here it is: http://www.surfergeek.net/protege5

I LOVE it. It fits perfectly, I had to cut my trunk liner, but that's fine with me. The eDesigns woofer sounds awesome, gives JL Audios a run for their money (even sounds a little bit better in the Maxxblin box) The guys at the shop where I bought all my equipment and had it installed gave high complements to the box and woofer, they couldn't believe how hard it hit in the small box. They were even more shocked when I told them the woofer was only $135.
