P5 car stereo

Does anyone know who makes the head unit and speakers for the P5. I heard Pioneer from someone I know. Can anyone reconfirm this? As well I find that althought the stock system genrerates pretty decent bass, mids and clear highs in the front, but the sound in the rear is mediocre, sounding like a cheap radio. Is because of the placement of the speakers on the door instead of the rear area beside the seat or does the P5 have a different stereo system than the Protege ES?

leungwingkei (hmm, you must be from HK), there was a post a long time ago regarding this... can't remember exactly, but it said that you can tell by reading the 4 digit number that's marked on the radio. There's a few manufacturers like panasonic, alpine... do a search and you might find that post.

Anyway, if you've listened to music thru an aftermarket head unit, you'll find out the stock radio is VERY weak in power (probably like 15Wx4 or even 10Wx4). I know because I've upgraded all the speakers first without upgrading the head unit and I didn't get much improvement in sound quality. Now that I've upgraded my head unit, it's so much better now. If you want to go further, you can add an amp and drive a sub.

About the rear speakers sound quality, i think the reason is that the speaker wires are too thin, and causes signal loss (longer wires to reach the rear also). I do notice that the sound quality is not as good as the front, even with all the upgrades.
