Optima Red Top Fitment

I guess this is the right forum to post this in...

My stock battery died, and I replaced it w/ an Optima Red Top. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep it from sliding back and forth in its location? The stock tie down doesn't seem to work real well. I cut one side of the black plastic sleeve that went around the stock battery to keep it from sliding left to right, but it still slides from front to back slightly. I was thinking of putting some of that rubber 'grip' stuff underneath the battery.

I'm having my first autox this Sunday and I'm afraid that my car will not pass the inspection w/ a loose battery.

try raising the battery up so the tie down will actually work, put a piece or 3 of wood under it or something, let me know how it goes b.c i'm going to be putting that exact bettery in my car soon

bunjee cords? duct tape? rope? adhesive? velcro strips? custom harness? possibly made out of nylon strapping, or metal strapping from home depot sunken in with screws?

Just an optima can be secured by the stock clamp with some bending. Or use heat / AC Cable ties, the big long ones.
