one mystery solved

just wanted to share, incase anyone ever encounters such a retarded situation...

i posted awhile back venting about blowing fuses...

THE PROBLEM HAS FINALLY BEEN SOLVED

problems started when after getting my system installed, i would attempt to charge my phone through the cigarette lighter and end up blowing a fuse

for a year now, this has been happening sporadically. my installer has re-wired the #%&^@%& deck every possible way...and was literally pulling his hair out in frustration. it happened again last saturday, except this time i blew a 30 w fuse, system went down and the 'check engine light' went on all at once.

with no options left to try, and only one consistent variable left since this all started...we finally knew what it was... THE PHONE!!

adapter had a short in it...

*shakes head

so after swearing and cursing my installer & salesguy for a year and causing them hours of time and labour, i got a sweet deal on a new cell phone AND an adapter. i was also told not to come back until i'm ready to spend some more money, all in good fun.

:bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

p.s. wanted to say thanks again to mazdaspeedwest for the advice and diagrams

Well, well, well.....well, well, well, well....

I bet he'll remember that one for a long time!

check ALL components!!!!!

i don't think Rash_girl should be embarassed at all. The installer should be, but only a little as that was an evil trick.

your very welcome, glad you got that all worked out...NEXT
