need different grille
 

was wondering what grille would work. ive measured the 01-03 protege grilles but there completly different but the p5 is close to the right size with some modifification. Wondering if anyone has done this. Also what can i do to get a different grille in there besides guttergaurd.:tit:

I spray painted mine with Chrome paint. Ghetto I know, but it looks pretty good. What Protege do you have---sedan or P5. I have heard of people swapping out the entire bumper and upper grills on a sedan with an MP3/P5 style front. I would do it, but one small problem...money!:D

ive got the sedan 2000 i would swith the front bumper but that would require headlight, fenders and a whole lot of other shit.

A guy I know put the "ghetto guards" on his. I tried it on mine, but the mazda emblem is molded in to the middle of my '01 sedan, so after 2 attempts, it just didn't look right. I ended up spraying them. Have you gone to www.sounddomain.com and search under member pages. You can type the car make and year to get just the 2000's and see if any one has any grill inserts. I am not sure that they make them for that year or not. I know they don't make any for the year I have unless it's an MP3 or P5, they may make something (hence why I painted them). You can click "www" below in the PM Profile area and go to page 6 to see how the painted grills turned out although our Proteges are different in looks in the front I believe.

they don't make any that i know of. i made the ol ghetto grille. im going to do another soon, mine is faded.

liek I said in the other thread www.atgrills.com should have em and if they dont I am sure they can cut some for your particular application, just may be a bit more.
