umm...with all the things considered for your 97' Protege...how about trading it in for a new P5?

haha...it just seems that putting all these in after all these years...it's really not worth it to upgrade a 97' (IMO)

trade it in...get a P5, you'll luv it!

depending on the dealer...you could get tint for free
comes with power everything (windows, locks)
Nardi-look steering wheel (feels great)
16" rims + sports tires
come's in Black :)

:D

i see where u coming from but the car is paid for and

most of the stuff is fairly cheap like seat covers, tint, floor mats

the only thing is the paint

also just couldnt swing a car note plus full coverage insurance

The alarm + keyless entry would be fairly pricey as well. Motors need to be installed per door for power locks, and it's about $70 per door for installation...it's worth having...but pricey.

actuators would only be needed if the Pro does not have powerlocks. The 2nd Gen had motors in all doors and a door mounted switch.

I recommend DEI alarms and if needed, Spal actuators.

hey mazdaspeedwest how did you do that one wiper seem, it look good..let me how you did so i can do it on my 98 prot or anybody else who know how to..

mazdaspeedwest April-30th-2002 09:50 PM

free and easy :D

1. remove both wiper arms
2. put drivers side arm on passenger side mounting peg. (It's longer, but this may not be the same with your G2)
2a. raise arm up windsheild until desired swipe path is obtained and fasten arm to mounting peg.
3. wait for rain.
4. listen to passengers constantly complaining that the wiper is in thier way.

I guess i should change my sig pic soon, as both the bumper and wiper are gone.....
