maybe i should go back to where i got my degree in sound engineering and ask them why they tought me wrong
Maybe were talking different things here.
You want to wire up 4 4 ohm subs to a single amp that at 4 ohms can only produce 280 watts RMS correct? |
how loud would a rockford fosgate 10" power RFR3110 be with the 1000X1 @ 2ohm rockford fosgate punch power amp be?
yes 4 4ohm subs to a 4ohm amp
That all depends on the box and if it was desingened to be loud only.
Blue is better at the SPL stuff then I, but the best I have seen from a single 10 was in the high 120's. However take into account I almost never pay attention to the DB portion at shows. I recall someone claiming mid 130s from a single 10 in a firebird though. |

i'll just spend a fraction and get one reference sub and one cheap amp.
yes 280X1 at 4 ohms. if it really is only 70 a sub then i really honestly do need to go back and have a talk with them.
That single amp seems to be a good match for a single reference.

You may be thinking of another type of circuit but for power matching purposes subs are just considered a resistor.
