Mazda Head Unit Manufactures
 

Here's some intresting info I found out from the Mazda Info Center number. In regards to who manufactures their head units, you can tell by looking at the first digit in the number on the faceplate.
1=Panasonic
2=Clarion
3=Fujitsu 10 (?)
4=FMS Audio
6=Pioneer

So I guess at least the 2002 ES Pro's have Panasonic...what does everyone else have? :-)

what "number on the faceplate" are you referring to? The small number in the upper right corner of the display window?

Correct. Mine is 1183 or something like that.

My P5 has 11**, so it's made my Panasonic?

Would have been nice if I got ones made by Clarion, but then again, I'm glad mine is not PMS Audio. hehe :)

what I want to know is which mazda model comes with the clarion deck. Obviosly nothing cheaper than the P5.
