list of you your audio mods

i didnt go too big with my system ( only ruptured my ear drums twice ;) ) this is what i have in my 02 LX2.0

Pioneer DEH-P5500MP CD/MP3/WMA player 4X50W
Stinger wiring with 100A fuse 0 gauge wiring
single channel Rockford Fosgate amp 900W
two 10" MTX RoadThunder 6000 subs
1100W system.. by my count.... amp and head unit.. if my thinking is flawed please correct me

(i know these are middle of the road subs in terms of quality.. maybe even worse.. but it still pounds like crazy in the small cabin of the pro with the 60/40 seats folded down)

i drove my self crazy before i finally sat down with my car and spent a few hours de-rattling it. i used 1/2 inch foam tape around the lip of the trunk as well as where that tape meets the body of the car. i still have flex in the trunk lid... but it is like a big cushion. the rattling is absorbed like crazy. i feared water leaking in (because of the added pressure of the tape keeping the trunk up) when the trunk closed but it does not affect the weather strip so its all good! :)

next i used expanding foam to seal the spaced in the tunk lid so the sound had something to bounce off of. and i tore apart my trunk and tied everything down with zap straps that would rattle due to extreme bass. like those stupid wires that took for ever to find :bonk: and to a lesser extent to jack.

the rear valance was the next step. took of the third light and put foam around its edge and jammed it back in to place... lovingly of course... and where the lip of the valance meets behind the seats where the 5 or 6 pins are.. i put that foam tape there and so far so good.. i dont hear any rattles, even when im out of the car and the bass is beyond in-car levels or out of car levels for that matter...

thats the extent of my audio mods, id love to hear about yours and how you fixed all your rattling problems, whether by homemade solutions or dynomat.

p.s.
the amp, subs, wiring and 4 years warrenty came to $800. oh how i love boxing day sales!

Self-amplified Audiobahn sub. Otherwise stock, with the 6CD HU. But the REAL music is underneath the hood...
