OK i bought a LOC it has the 2 rca outputs and it has 5 wires, four of which are to recieve the 2 channels of audio. But there is a 5th totally black wire...what is this for???

Is it ground....its gotta be right??? But if it is/////do i splice it into the HU's ground??? Did i just answer my own question?

I too would think its a ground....BUT....didn't you get any instrucitons with this thing?

usually it is a ground.

oh there are instructions, its a diagram...which leaves out any mention of the wire....lol Anyways its a ground...im sure...its black..

If you run into any issues, don't sweat it, someone on the board will be able to help you through it! Just come in from the garage, have a cold one, and post your questions. There are a lot of good folks on this forum willing to help any way they can- they are great resources.

I second Daves comments above....the most important thing is do NOT get in a rush, take your time.....lay out the plan....and work your plan....if something doesn't seem right...STOP....don't take any chances of damaging anything....
