Interior paint

I want to paint my interior details. Like the stereo housing, door levers basically every thing that come stock sliver in my red mp5 I know people have done this I am wondering how to take it apart and what paint to use. should I invest in a air brush or will spray cans work? Thanks

just use a spray can, but if you plan on shows with your interior get an airbrush, a spray can job will show make sure youre good at it too

as for removal just look for peices or caps that pop out and look for the hidden screws, like under the dash outta eye sight thats usally where they are

good luck

Get the can from home Depot or something, for your interior use Krylon Interior Spray paint and for calipers, Duplicolor high heat or VHT will work fine...and it saves you loads of money

You also have to look out for what you use as your primer......i used the primer from jcwhitney.com for interior painting and that played a big factor of the paint chipping off....when i took it to a shop to get done the guy told me there is a specific primer to use for vinyl and i have yet to see any chips in the paint...So i would recommend doing a little research on what kind of primer to use as this is something if you are gonna do it yourself your gonna want to do it right.

thank you every one for all your advice Primer is definitely and issue that I was having trouble with because I can't seem to find a good one that is specific to the job. I don't want to screw around with this. It must look good and last no exceptions. I am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to take the appropriate peices out, maybe I am not being agressive enough but I don't want to crack anything. thanks again to everyone for your help. If any one has done this before and can walk me through the step to taking the stuff out it would be very appreciated. thanks

Sorry i'm probably late, But I actually did some painting this weekend. I used spraypaint my Krylon Fusion. Worked pretty good with some light sanding. Just to let you know the center console where the radio goes is a pain in the ass. You are going to have to take off the glove box and look towards the back to your left and you will see some white gears for the A/C. You have to pull some wire off. I wish I would have taken pictures of this. Don't try to force it out unless you have those to wires out, there is one right under the drivers side and the passanger side. I do suggest that you take off the radio so you can stick your hands in there. Hopefully that helps you out somewhat just hit me up if you need anymore help. I'll try to post some pics of what I did to my interior.

peace
