You should be able to install a HU yourself if you know how to use a few things like a screwdriver, electrical tape, and wire cutters. Even a soldering iron if you're feeling ambitious.

You ECU is up against the firewall under the center console area behind your cubby hole/cup holder. unless you're planning putting speakers there with huge magnets, or cutting its wires I cant see you messing it up.

Get an install kit to fit a DIN radio to the factory hole, and a wire harness adapter.

You connect the wires from the HU to the adapter harness and it just plugs in to your factory harness
from there you just need to install the install kit...instructions are ususally provided and most of the time are useless unfortunately. Plus some don't fit right and you have to do some light sanding or whittling at plastic. (metra kits is the one I think that doesn't work right)

Follow the instructions from the wire harness adapter and your HU manual to know which wires to connect then plug it in to the factory harness.

If your factory harness is cut off already (like mine was) www.installdr.com will tell you which wires are what.

Define system.

If you just get the radio thenyou should be able to do it in an afternoon with little experience and alot of patience. Most place will do it for $45 or less. If you have never done one before and you don't have the tools then you may want to let a professional, I am using the term loosely, handle it.
