Installing a bazooka tube?
 

I need help installing an amplified bazooka tube. Does anyone know how to do it? I'm thinking about getting it professionally done, but if it's fairly easy, i'd do it myself. Please help.

it's fairly simple if you are good at wiring and putting things back together!!!
since it's amplified tube then:
1. what you want to do is place the tube where ever you want it (probably facing towards the rear on one side or the other and mount it there with self taping screws.

2. buy and amp kit that will supply you enough power that you don't underpower the tube. $100-$200 (probably 4g wires)

3. next, diconnect the battery and run the power wire (red) from the battery through the firewall in the front of the car under the door sills to the rear of the car. (DO NOT INSTALL THE FUSE IN THE FUSE HOLDER YET)

4. this is were the wiring part comes in!!

Stock Radio: you will need an adapter ($20-
$40) that connect to a speaker and gives you rca outputs so that you can run rca wires to the tube. then you will need to hook up a regular speaker wire to an accesory in your car the turns of when you car goes off (so it turns you amp off and doesn't drain the battery) and hook it up to remote plug on the tube.

Aftermarket Radio you should have everything that came in the kit, the rca wires will usually have the remote wire wrapped together. plug the rca wires into the subwoofer (better then you can usually control you subs volume then) or rear output of the radio and connect the remoter wire to remote wire in the harness (think it's blue & white, should be labeled "remote") and run the rca's, remote wire and power wire to the back of the car (zip tie together for better look)

5. next, find a nice big piece of metal that you can connect the ground wire to. (mine i put under the carpet behind the fold down seats) be sure to take some sand paper and remove the paint so that it is in contact with all metal. !!!the ground is the most important part because if you don't have a good ground you will have no power or get a lot of static!!!

6. now take you time and run all the wires together and make a nice small slit in the carpet right before the tube, so that you don't have all these wires hanging loose and start connecting the wires. start with the ground first, then rca's, remote, power wire.

7. now almost done, make sure all connections are good, tight, and in the right place!!! if your happy how it looks, now connect the battery. !!!and now place the fuse in the fuse holder!!! see if the amp is on crank it up and enjoy. (when buying the tube and amp have a professional adjust all the settings for you before or/and after to make sure you don't blow the amp.

if not on, recheck all connections over to see the problem.
