adapters can be made from mdf, which nearly any shop will do. :)

I can't get to any of the pictures. When I click on one of the links, I get redirected to a little image that says "Image hosted by Angelfire" but no useful image.
Adapters that will fit a 6.5" in the Mazda 6x8 opening can be made from MDF (that's "medium density fiberboard" a plywood-like mix of sawdust, glue, and resin) or purchased pre-made from plastic: http://www.scosche.com/scosche/speakers/SA68.asp Which you can buy at sounddomain.com as well. This is a great mod to do, as I've never heard ovals that sound as good as rounds... |

I didn't have to any modification for the door and I didn't use those water protectors. Never even seen anything like this before and believe me, the door can get really wet inside in Finlands winter and still we don't use those;)
But like onehawaiian said it's really easy to make adapetrs by yourself, for example mdf, thin metal plate, you name it. I paid ~10$ for my slates so I didn't bother to make them myself |
