installation of new shift knob
 

Can anybody explain to me how to go abouts changing the shift knob on my '03 P5? is it as simple as pushing the shifter boot down...unscrew the knob and replace?

Any help would do.

i'm assuming you drive an MT pro ...

yeah you just turn counter-clockwise until the knob comes completely out. i do it in traffic/waiting for lights to change ...

don't have to worry about the shifter boot - it is held down where the knob attaches.

Just so you know....if you are looking for an new shift knob that screws on just like the stock one does....the thread size is

10mm X 1.25 thread pitch.
