My buddy used to make fun of my Pro's horn and call it a "clown car." Now he's got a Subaru TS wagon and its horn is pretty much the same....he hasn't called it a clown car since :D

Marc said it took him about 10 minutes to install those big red air horns. Of course he has the room for with his stock airbox out of the way. PM him (MP5) and I'm sure he'll tell you how to do it.

Nice one guys. I was just thinking of installing an air horn in my P5 and seeing that my airbox is removed for my Ractive intake, I guess I have the room. Actually it was the wife who said we need an air horn as our horn sucks (or should that be blows) :D.

Don,t get an airhorn. I have replaced the factory horn in all of my vehicles with the Hella electric horn. It sounds great, loud as hell, and is much easier to install. Griot's Garage (1-800-345-5789) sell it for $70. Hella also sells a airhorn, but it does not sound nearly as good...I've tried both.

here is the place to get hella horns.
Classic Garage

The electric horns at Classic Garage are not the ones I have. Mine are all metal, weigh about 1lb each, and once you hear them (or someone in front of you), I promise you will love their sound. I'm not sure what I paid for my last set, but it was around 60-70 bucks. I think I got mine from Performance Products, but have not seen them in their latest catalog. Take a look at the picture of them at GriotsGarage.com. You can probably shop around and find them cheaper. They are well worth what you will pay for them.

I got the hella low tone air horn on mine.

Just replaced it where the old one was.

LOUD AS HELL!

I see its been a while since anyone posted in this thread, but I'm thinking of replacing my horn in my Protege 02. My only problem is trying to figure out how to get the front grill that is in front of the horn off. I removed two screws and two of those annoying plastic snaps, but there are two more plastic post like things that are in the way and I can't see how to remove them or bypass them. Any ideas?
