Indiglo Gauges INSTALLED!

http://www.knology.net/~negatize/ima..._0261small.JPG

I decided to rather risk breaking $40 by cutting the faces to allow the needles to fit through rather than risk $300 prying open/pulling on the needles to get them out. The cut lines are visible, but its hardly noticeable. These gauges are really nice - they glow many different colors and shades at night. Comes w/ a nice switch too.

loooks nice . how much did you get them for and from where?

NegatiZE April-10th-2002 07:28 AM

You can change between 6 different colors I think. I got them from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1817654832

Search for "protege indiglo" and a few just like it will come up.

i have a question, is that line through the middle of the gauge actually there, or is it a by product of scanning the picture?

It's actually there. That's where I had to cut the faces in order to fit them through the needles. I've found no way to remove the needles online w/o breaking them. It's looks funny in the picture but you can barely see them in real life. I didn't scan the pic, btw, I used a digicam.

Did anybody read where it says this guages do not require the removal of the needles for installation?

Yes it says that but there is no way for the entire needle to fit through the tiny holes that they provide. There are two ways around this: Remove the needles, which is impossible w/o breaking the cluster, or cutting the gauges to fit the needles through.
