I need a wiring diagram

Hello,
Does anyone know where i can get the wiring diagram for a 2002 protege LS? I have contaced my dealer, and they said there is no paper copies anymore, it is just on line. So he can not get me a copy of it.
Anyone that knows where I can get it I would greatly apreciate it. Either that or if anyone knows where the master relay is located that would also be helpful (This is the relay that clivks on when you turn the key to the on position, makes your windows, radio, and sunroof work).
Thanks in advance

Hey,
See the top (sticky) post... Darryl's got a link to his website where he lists the approx. location and exact colors of the wires. It's not a wiring diagram, but mentally you can peice it together from his list. And the list is sound; I've installed an alarm from it.

PS: As far as the specific relay you're looking for.. haven't noticed it. I just spliced into the wire that controls (+12V) the relay. THere are a bunch of relay-modules high up under the dash, to the driver's side of the clutch pedal. There are also socketed automotive relays in a box under the hood (I think they're in the fuse box under the hood, but I can't remember exactly).

Don,
Thank you for your quick response. I checked that web site, and i can not find anything listing anything about wiring diagrams on it. His post says to look under the how-to-section, from what i am seeing there is no how to section. Have you been there recently? I don't think i am blind but maybe i am mising something.
Thanks

what exactly are you needing that relay for? maybe you can use something else for whatever you are trying?

My goal is to bypass this relay, so that I can use the windows, and sunroof w/o the key in the ignition.

ah crap!!! sorry, i had named another file as "index" that's not the right site...hehehhehe i fixed it, so it'll work now.

Here's the direct page link, but if you look in the how too section and scroll down to "Protege Alarm Wiring", you'll see the links in the left menu bar.

Thanks for the wire color chart, but it doesn't have what I need.
It would of come in handy when I installed my remote starter :)

I am looking for the relay or relays that gives power to the power windows and sunroof when I have the ignition to on. I just want to short out the relays so that I can do these funtions with the key out.

I'm not sure where the relay-module that controls the windows is. I'll check tonight, as I'll be out under the dash finishing up an alarm install. I suspect it'll be w/ the rest of the relay-modules (keyless entry is one, door-locks is another, they're both labelled as such) to the driver's side of the clutch pedal.

Word of caution though... I destroyed my door-lock relay in the process of trying to add an "override" to it, sort of the same thing you're trying to do with the window-motor-relay-module. It's was a $100 part in my case, so be sure of you're wiring. Maybe run it by the forum before cutting.
