How Much ?

Does anyone out there know the wattage of a factory P5 System ? Is it under 200 watts or is it more ?

should be way less since i thought the MP3 system was only 280W. the stock protege 5 system is probably more like 180W...

It's probably way less than that, i'm guessing at least 90-100w

I do car stereos repairs all day long. The Amp chip in the radio is rated at 30 Watts max per channel times 4. Or 2000 watts WLS (When Lightning Strikes)

WLS is a critical stereo term used for those special swap meet amplifiers that have 5000 WATTS of pure distortion. Price for these amps usually under $100.00, or maybe built into a combo EQ
